San Leandro Chiriopractor and Yelp 5 Stars Reviews Filtering System

December 31, 2018 by drburt

San Leandro Chiropractor

San Leandro Chiropractor have been receiving numerous phone calls from Yelp’s rep to advertise on their platform. At the time when phone calls started  I had over 50 – 5 stars reviews and about 20 filtered  5 stars reviews. My San Leandro Chiropractor practice is based on providing quality service to those who live or work within 5 to 10 miles radius. I did not have any desire to advertise on a digital platform that was performing well Free of Charge for many years. Of course getting 70 – 5 stars reviews takes years to acquire. Building great digital reputation for San Leandro Chiropractor takes a lot of time and effort. Quality of care creates many happy clients walking outside your door. Back in days the most powerful means of advertising was word of mouth. Now it is just a small fraction of a 21st century small business model. Google local places, Yelp, Instagram, YouTube, Blog post like this one are all parts of a big engine that move San Leandro Chiropractor forward.

Managing and understanding what drives Yelp reviews has become an important tactic for many local marketing professionals. It is important for every brand’s local marketing strategy. The majority of businesses stand to gain some level of benefit by engaging with Yelpers, even if the review is… less than perfect, or if the best reviews are regulated by Yelp’s automatic filter. While some businesses have gone as far as filing class-action lawsuits against Yelp, alleging that their filter is set up as a way to extort businesses into advertising, so far none of the lawsuits have succeeded; and one judge after another has dismissed a variety of allegations of a similar style. Our San Leandro Chiropractor practice is not planning to file anything and wasting time with Yelp. Instead we simply use our own digital platform like this blog and Google search results in order to show up on a first page of Google search results. Besides being a chiropractor with 18 years of experience I know a thing or two about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If you read this post, feel free to share it with other small business owners.

As of today Yelp filtered over 25 reviews in the past two weeks and now our San Leandro Chiropractor Yelp Page at 22 – 5 star reviews and 46 – 5 stars filtered reviews.  Few reviews just disappeared completely. Moving forward in 2019 we are planning to focus on San Leandro Chiropractor Google Local places our YouTube channel and maybe occasionally on Instagram.   We will continue to focus on providing the best chiropractic service to our current and future patients in 2019 and forward.  Happy New Year – exercise, rest, eat clean and keep your spine aligned with your local chiropractors. Oh yes, do not forget to write a review if you are happy with your San Leandro Chiropractor or any other local chiropractor.

Car Accident Injury & Chiropractic Rehabilitation in San Leandro

May 13, 2014 by drburt

San Leandro ChiropractorCar Accident Injury & Chiropractic Rehabilitation in San Leandro

This patient was referred to my clinic by one of the personal injury attorneys that I have been working with. When I spoke to a patient on a phone I did not expect that this is going to be a case when I would need to treat a spine with a compression fracture, protruded disc , subluxated rib and sever neck and back pain. This particular patient was very lucky to be alive after I saw the pictures on a phone and whatever was left over from her car after it was crashed by an AC Transit Bus. Ambulance was called and patient was taken to a nearby Hospital for observation and diagnostic studies. X-Ray did not reveal any life threatening fracture to a cervical and lumbar spine.

Examination:

During examination patient had severe amount of pain and did not know what to expect from a chiropractic care as she has never been to a chiropractor before.  Every single orthopedic test was positive during an examination. Any way patient moved would cause pain and discomfort. She was not able to go to sleep without taking heavy dose of pain medications and muscle relaxants. Lack of sleep adds extra stress to an already injured body, which creates a wishes cycle in a recovery process after such a serious car accident. Posture revealed uneven pelvis base, which is an indication of sacroiliac joint misalignment, lumbar spine was painful upon digital palpation. Sever pain at T12 vertebral level (later MRI revealed Compression Fracture at that vertebral Level) with radiating pain along intercostal nerve on a right side which did not allow patient to freely inhale and exhale.  Severe neck pain with minimal range of motion and muscle spasm.

Treatment:

The rehabilitation process began right after examination has been concluded. The frequency of visits was set at 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Each visit would include Electric Stimulation from Interferential Machines, Moist Heat at 140F from automated Electric Blanket both for 15 minutes. After this passive therapy this patient would get full spine chiropractic adjustment as well as rib adjustment in order to eliminate intercostal referral pain. Next stop would be a deep tissue massage from my in house Certified Massage Therapist. This frequency was kept for 4 weeks.

After two and a half weeks of care I have ordered MRI study of the lumbar spine due to persistent pain and minimal improvement. This study has revealed that this patient had severe disc protrusion both anterior and posterior and L5 vertebral level. This is most likely the cause of the persistent pain and discomfort in a lumbar spine. We have scheduled this patient with an Orthopedic surgeon for evaluation and possible treatment. MRI has also revealed a compression fracture at T12 vertebral level. The anterior portion of the body has been compressed under tremendous amount of force during the collision of the car and a bus. Rib and neck pain have improved since the beginning of the treatment.

Result:

At this point we are approaching a third and a final month of a rehabilitation process. Patient comes in once a week. Her rib pain, mid back and neck pain have improved quite a bit. However, she still feels pain and discomfort in a lumbar spine. Orthopedic surgeon did not offer anything exciting regarding treatment and management of the lumbar spine – it was the usual taking drugs or performing a surgery which can bring only 50% of success. I have discussed with patient specific lumbar exercises and stretching program in order to manage lumbar spine pain level and discomfort. Overall this lucky patient is very happy with an outcome of a rehabilitation process at our San Leandro Chiropractic Clinic.

Back Pain and Spinal Motion

Back Pain and Spinal Motion

Your spine is an intricate system of muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments that allow you to move in a very complicated manner by working together. It is therefore remarkable. However, when something is not right, you can experience pain even when there is minimal micro-motion at a certain spinal segment. If you experience pain when you move, it is important for you to understand the things that are happening in your spine because this helps you to explain to your physician in a better manner. Hopefully, you can quickly find an effective treatment when you communicate better to your physician. The following are the most common ways in which motion causes low back pain.

• Twisting motions easily strain large spinal muscles:

The main reason motion causes low back pain is not because of your spinal structure. The ligaments or muscles that surround the spine in your back can tear or overstretch. Inflammation and pain occurs because of this while your body makes an effort to heal by limiting motion.

• Cartilage breakdown can occur because of motion:

Spinal arthritis is very common and people who are more than fifty years old are more likely to suffer from it. The mechanical breakdown of your cartilage that is between your aligning facet joints in your spinal back portion is known as spinal osteoarthritis. Inflammation occurs in the facet joints and more frictional pain occurs when the joints degenerate progressively. There is a decrease in the flexibility and motion of your spine when the back pain progresses.

• Compensation for excessive motion can occur because of the formation of bone spurs:

With osteoarthritis, there is a typical formation of osteophytes, which are also known as small irregular growths on your bone (bone spurs) on your facet joints that occurs in response to the instability of your joints that the degeneration causes.

Bone spurs are not responsible for directly causing pain because they can occur when you age. They may entrap or irritate your nerves that pass through your spinal structures by becoming large enough. Consequently, this may diminish the room for your nerves to pass.

Pain (and perhaps tingling and numbness) into your legs can occur when you walk because of most cases and you can relieve the pain with sitting.

• Pain from micro-motion occurs because of disc degeneration:

Degenerative disc disease is a syndrome in which chronic pain in the lower back occurs because of a painful disc, typically in people who are 30-40 years old. Excessive vertebral level micro-motion occurs because of the aforementioned symptomatic disease and it causes pain.

• Pain can occur because of motion in your lower spine:

There is a lot of motion in your lower back (lumbar spine) as compared to the four major regions that your spine has. This region carries all the torso weight and in effect, it makes it the spinal area that is injured most frequently.
There is a division of the motion in your lower back between five of your vertebral motion segments (all of which have facet joints that are covered by 2 cartilages and a disc). However, the lower segments (L5-S-1, L4-L5, and L3-L4) have a disproportionate amount of this motion.

You can help your doctors in the accurate identification of the specific cause of your pain by giving a better description of your symptoms when you understand better the pain that you experience owing to motion segment disorders. You should therefore use your EHIC to access appropriate and affordable treatment from them.

Low Back Pain Prevention and Maintenance

August 15, 2012 by drburt

lower back painMany of my patients ask me the same question over and over again: “How often and how long do I have to see a chiropractor for low back pain problems?” I always provide the same answer: “How often do you change oil in your car, do tune up, replace brake pads and tires and many other things that a vehicle requires in order to run properly?” Our body is a bio mechanical machine that requires as much care and maintenance is the vehicle you drive every day. Every day stress such as work, commute, household activities will eventually lead to low back pain problems. Sacrum and Lumbar spine are the center of the gravity for our bodies. If that area is deconditioned mechanical problems are inevitable – misaligned vertebrae in a lumbar spine or misaligned Sacroilliac joint. This misalignment (subluxation) will cause the irritation to the nerve root and will result in a muscle spasm which will cause more pain and discomfort. The longer one waits for this pain and discomfort to go away the greater the possibility that this problem will get worse.

Back in 2010 I have written a blog post – “Healthy Hints for a healthy Back” which describes how to properly stand and walk, sit, lift, sleep, drive and work. Following these simple advices will guarantee that your low back vertebraes will maintain proper alignment and injury to a soft tissue of the para-spinal musculature of the lumbar spine will be avoided or minimized.

Another blog post that was written the same year – “Lower Back Exercises.” talks about a conditioned para-spinal musculature of the lumbar spine and how it helps to prevent a low back pain. A series of exercise samples with pictures have been provided for your overview. Only ten to fifteen minutes a day will keep your low back young and strong.

Nothing can really replace a visit to your local chiropractor. A great full spine adjustment will make you feel really good. It will stimulate your peripheral and central nervous. Add electrical stimulation and moist heat for fifteen minutes and follow up with fifteen minutes deep tissue massage by a certified massage therapist and you will feel like a car that just had a complete tune up done, brans new tires installed and brake pads replaced. I get adjusted and get all of the therapies mentioned at least once a week some times more than once a week. My low back would fail me long time ago if I would not exercise on regular bases and did not get chiropractic care.

if you are not doing any of the three advices mentioned above, make a change in your life now. The sooner you start the better the chances that your low back pain will never bother you in a future.
