San Leandro Chiriopractor and Yelp 5 Stars Reviews Filtering System

December 31, 2018 by drburt

San Leandro Chiropractor

San Leandro Chiropractor have been receiving numerous phone calls from Yelp’s rep to advertise on their platform. At the time when phone calls started  I had over 50 – 5 stars reviews and about 20 filtered  5 stars reviews. My San Leandro Chiropractor practice is based on providing quality service to those who live or work within 5 to 10 miles radius. I did not have any desire to advertise on a digital platform that was performing well Free of Charge for many years. Of course getting 70 – 5 stars reviews takes years to acquire. Building great digital reputation for San Leandro Chiropractor takes a lot of time and effort. Quality of care creates many happy clients walking outside your door. Back in days the most powerful means of advertising was word of mouth. Now it is just a small fraction of a 21st century small business model. Google local places, Yelp, Instagram, YouTube, Blog post like this one are all parts of a big engine that move San Leandro Chiropractor forward.

Managing and understanding what drives Yelp reviews has become an important tactic for many local marketing professionals. It is important for every brand’s local marketing strategy. The majority of businesses stand to gain some level of benefit by engaging with Yelpers, even if the review is… less than perfect, or if the best reviews are regulated by Yelp’s automatic filter. While some businesses have gone as far as filing class-action lawsuits against Yelp, alleging that their filter is set up as a way to extort businesses into advertising, so far none of the lawsuits have succeeded; and one judge after another has dismissed a variety of allegations of a similar style. Our San Leandro Chiropractor practice is not planning to file anything and wasting time with Yelp. Instead we simply use our own digital platform like this blog and Google search results in order to show up on a first page of Google search results. Besides being a chiropractor with 18 years of experience I know a thing or two about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If you read this post, feel free to share it with other small business owners.

As of today Yelp filtered over 25 reviews in the past two weeks and now our San Leandro Chiropractor Yelp Page at 22 – 5 star reviews and 46 – 5 stars filtered reviews.  Few reviews just disappeared completely. Moving forward in 2019 we are planning to focus on San Leandro Chiropractor Google Local places our YouTube channel and maybe occasionally on Instagram.   We will continue to focus on providing the best chiropractic service to our current and future patients in 2019 and forward.  Happy New Year – exercise, rest, eat clean and keep your spine aligned with your local chiropractors. Oh yes, do not forget to write a review if you are happy with your San Leandro Chiropractor or any other local chiropractor.

Choosing a Qualified Chiropractor

November 29, 2017 by drburt

POSTURE CORRECTION

Even though there’re plenty of resources for obtaining valuable resources to assist you in your search for a chiropractor, it can be challenging, particularly if you’re new to chiropractic. Also, remember that chiropractic is a profession with an array of practice philosophies and techniques, meaning that it can be tedious to choose a chiropractor.

However, your search for an ideal and professional chiropractor comes to an end here; we’ve outlined a comprehensive guide that will help you choose the right chiropractor. Also highlighted in our guide are some of the red flags that may indicate dubious and questionable treatment procedures.

1) Recommendation

Inquiring from friends, family member, or close relatives who have had close ties or rather have previously used Chiropractor services is a great place to start. See, unlike the online reviews, which can be manipulated, reviews from people close to you provide a first-hand experience of the chiropractor. And in most cases, if multiple people recommend the same chiropractor, chance are the chiropractor is reliable and professional.

However, exercise caution when seeking recommendation since the definition of the “best chiropractor” might be quite different from your definition. Also in as much as recommendations are valuable, it’s still vital to find a chiropractor who professionally addresses your personal needs.

2) Schedule a free consultation

After identifying multiple candidates for your treatment, it’s time to conduct a telephone interview or request an in-house office consultation to learn more about the Chiropractor, technique used, cost estimate and other factors. In most cases, a chiropractor will request a personal consultation to discuss your health condition.

It’s during the visit that you conduct a deeper research about the chiropractor. Pay attention to finer details such as the general condition of the office.i.e., level of hygiene, general cleanliness, the attitude in the room, comfort level, and the experience you will have with the physician.

Also, take into consideration some of the personal preferences that you feel should be in any physician office.

3) Background research

Selecting a health physician should be done with utmost care. You do not want to place your health under a scrupulous physician who never completed their studies or have previously been charged with medical malpractice.

Ensure that your chiropractor is listed and accredited by the Chiropractic Regulation & Licensing Board. Additionally, check that the chiropractor’s college is listed with the Council on Chiropractic Education.

4) Chiropractic techniques used

There’re variety of treatments and methods of treatments in chiropractic, with no two being exactly alike. Each chiropractor has a specific technique that can work for a specific patient, and no treatment will work for all patients.

For instance, some of the chiropractors perform joint manipulation with their hands, while others use instruments. Also, some of the chiropractors are quick and firm, while other provide a loose and lighter touch.

Common treatment you can expect at Chiropractor Perth include; spine/limb manipulation, spine/limb mobilization, active care, soft tissue therapy, physical rehabilitation, traction and other treatments. Therefore, understanding the chiropractor’s manipulation technique, treatment guideline, and overall style is vital to your treatment.

Here are some potential red flags to steer away from.

  • Avoid chiropractors who recommend long-term treatment plans .i.e. 4 times per week for 6 to 12 months, then 3 times per week for a further six months and so on.
  • Avoid chiropractors with the same kind of treatment for every patient, regardless of their conditions.
  • Keep away from chiropractors who charge exorbitantly
  • Avoid chiropractors with a ‘new” or “secret” technique for your treatment
  • Avoid chiropractors who claim they can cure multiple conditions using the same techniques

Now that you’ve a solid understanding of what to look for in a chiropractor, choosing the right chiropractor should now be a breeze. Narrow down to three or four chiropractors, and make your final decision after the free consultation.

How to Have the Best Sleep: Chiropractic and Sleep

sleepHow to Have the Best Sleep: Chiropractic and Sleep

The Field of Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine which is getting more attention nowadays. As with most alternative forms of medicine, chiropractic always get reactions full of skepticism and doubt. A lot of people considered chiropractic as a western form of acupuncture and oriental massage. A lot of individuals even find the field as a gimmick or a way for people to make a quick buck out of someone gullible enough to believe in some outlandish practice. Chiropractic, by definition, is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders that concern the musculoskeletal system.

Most practitioners of Chiropractic believe that these problems affect how the body functions via the nervous system. The basics of chiropractic heavily involve physical manipulation of the spine and neck. Chiropractors, those who practice chiropractic, are split into two different groups: The “Straights” which are more keen on unfounded beliefs and practices regarding chiropractic. The other group is otherwise known as “Mixers” are the more preferred group which believes in modern and conventional medicine such as massage therapy, exercise, and diet.

People who seek treatment for lower back pain, often go to chiropractors to relieve them of their chronic pain. Chiropractors also believe that spinal manipulation can alleviate a multitude of conditions such as bad posture, problems with appetite, headaches, and sleeping problems. It is a well-known fact that sleep affects people in a lot of ways. Getting enough sleep is healthy and good for the body while getting more or less sleeping hours is dangerous. With chiropractic, here are some good ways to improve sleeping habits.

Position

Most people sleep on their backs. What a lot of them don’t know is that sleeping on one’s back can increase the risk of having sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a dangerous condition where the body pauses to breathe which usually lasts for a minute to an hour in most extreme cases. Sleep apnea if left untreated, can cause high blood pressure, aneurysms, diabetes, heart disease, etc. Contrary to some beliefs, sleeping on your left side is an excellent way to prevent neck and back pain when waking up. Research believes that sleeping on the left can relieve heartburn. For pregnant mothers, the left side is also good because it significantly improves circulation, good for both the mom and baby inside the womb. Sleeping on the stomach is the worst possible position for a person to sleep. Although sleeping on one’s stomach can prevent sleep apnea and aid in digestion, the weight created by the body puts a lot of pressure on the spine. The lower back also gets a lot of that pressure and will eventually cause the neck to turn at such an unnatural angle. With the neck being in such a strange position for prolonged hours, the risk of spinal and neck injury significantly increase.

Exercise

Part of a healthy lifestyle is getting enough exercise. Training enables the body to have a healthy circulation needed to help better itself. Exercise also helps build up the muscles of the body so that it can better contribute to supporting the body’s weight. Exercise should be during the day, where the body is still alert and active. Exercising before going to bed is bad because heat is retained in the body making you sweat. A fast heartbeat resulting from rigorous movement can also interfere with normal sleeping patterns.

Mattresses

Choose a bed that will adequately support the spine and the body. Make sure that the bed isn’t too soft, as it will bring the body down, forcing another strange position. Sleeping in these positions can cause a lot of problems such as neck and back pain. Another weird thing an improper bed does to a person is that it may cause them to snore. Snoring is done when the lungs make the tissues of the airway vibrate. These often result in a snort-like sleep during sleep. Snoring can affect a person’s breathing while he or she sleeps. Snoring is also a sign of impending diseases such as heart problems and diabetes.

Regular Chiropractic Sessions

Due to some decompression by spinal manipulation during chiropractic adjustments, people often find relief in their sleeping problems. A lot of them report that their sleeping habits are better after a session with their chiropractor.

Takeaway

Chiropractic and sleeping patterns come hand in hand when it comes to overall health. When a person has healthy habits coupled with regular sleeping hours, a healthy lifestyle is insured. A lot of benefits such as relief from heartburn and better circulation is just a few of what people can expect from sleeping in the right position and the right bed.

Chiropractic Care Can Help with Text Neck Problem

January 22, 2016 by drburt

tex neck and chiropractic careChiropractic Care Can Help with Text Neck Problem

Are you currently reading this while hunched over your phone?
📱
If so, here’s a very scary wakeboard call: Chiropractic Care Can Help with Text Neck Problem.
💻
Most people spend an average of two to four hours a day slumped over their smartphones, according to the study, and that awkward position isn’t doing any favors for your neck and back.
📱
We know you won’t be throwing out your phone, tablet, or e-reader anytime soon. That’s fine, just be sure to use it with proper posture, which means your ears are aligned with your shoulders and your shoulder blades are back in the neutral position.
💻

How is Texting Hurting Your Health?

Let’s first put the situation into perspective. Mobile device usage has increased significantly and will continue to do so into the future. According to text-neck.com, Americans spend 2.7 hours per day on average communicating and socializing on their phones, and they spend even more time looking down at their mobile devices for web searching and other uses.

They go on to say that 75% of the world’s population spends hours daily hunched over their handheld devices. Studies also show that people under the age of 30 send an average of 3,000 text messages per month. That’s approximately 100 text messages a day!

Perhaps an even more unsettling thought is the fact that young children and toddlers are now given phones and tablets as play toys. One study found that 75% of children under 8 have access to a smartphone or tablet. It’s also been reported that in the U.S. alone, nearly 1 in 5 kids under the age of 8 use a mobile device at least once a day.

The problem with all this time spent with the head flexed forward is that it increases the risk of developing what has been termed as Text Neck.

What is a Text Neck?

Text neck is the term used to describe the neck pain and damage sustained from looking down at your cell phone, tablet, or other wireless devices too frequently and for too long. And it seems increasingly common. Recently, a patient came in to my practice complaining of severe upper back pain. He woke up and was experiencing severe, acute, upper back muscle strain. I told him I believe the pain is due to the hours he was spending hunched over his cell phone. Diagnosis: Text neck. Of course, this posture of bending your neck to look down does not occur only when texting. For years, we’ve all looked down to read. The problem with texting is that it adds one more activity that causes us to look down—and people tend to do it for much longer periods. It is especially concerning because young, growing children could possibly cause permanent damage to their cervical spines that could lead to lifelong neck pain.
